*sighs.....takes a deep breath and exhales slowly, takes a step forward leaning in toward the mic and with a finger 'tap, tap tap', "Is this thing on?" looks around shyly and begins:
Hello my name is winccanswonders and I am texture addict! I LOVE love love them. Can't get enough of them! I look at a gorgeous creation from those trillions available and hone in on the textures used. The fabrics the metals the grasses. It doesn't matter. And I have ALWAYS wanted to create my own.
Do any of you play video games? Have you ever just looked at the environments and wondered with awe what it would be like to create the flowing lava down the scraggly mountain side, or the lake of whorling blood surrounded by aged and gnarled trees, the luxuriously adorned fabrics and leather and maile that create the characters gowns or armors.... I have and it's my addiction.
SO little by little I am teaching myself how to make textures. I am starting small with fabrics and turning real life into alphas/transparencies but I will be getting better and better. My dream is to make my creations available for those who just...need...that... extra 'something' for their art.
I play in another virtual world called second life. There I create items, clothing etc and offer them for sale . It's my bit of bread and butter and feeds my addiction for textures and texturing... As long as you don't use my textures themselves, alone in that world to make a living then I am perfectly fine with wherever else you choose to use them commercially.
I guess what I mean to say is as long you don't take my creations and call them yours and sell them in SL I do not care what you do with them LOL See as I stated before: I am a texture addict! How can I possibly say to another like me, "Nope can't have it 'cept for once" ummmm no.... that would make me the ultimate hypocrite and I refuse to go there...I hear that that land of denial is quite overcrowded...
Right now I am working on fabrics... flat panels as well as panels with folds, wrinkles and draping. Fabrics perfect for the use in creating clothing, covering furniture, hanging in the background pooled upon the floor...where ever your imagination leads you....
Welcome to my world... grab a seat and cop a squat, have a cup o' java and relax.... entry is easy it's the getting out that remains a mystery.
